DR Magolanga Shagembe PhD
PresidentLecturer, researcher, and consultant in social thought and behaviour, child and adolescent development and learning, domestic workers' lived experiences, mental health and psychosocial well-being, the application of statistics in psychology, and mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) services. Shagembe is also a certified national master trainer in mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) services in Tanzania, serves in different leadership positions such as being the current president of the Tanzanian Psychological Association (TAPA), Deputy Secretary General of the National Technical Working Group on Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) services in Tanzania, and the Managing Editor of the Journal of Population Studies and Development Studies.

Vice PresidentMr. George B. Chacha is a Counselling Psychologist based in Dar es Salaam with over five years of experience in psychosocial support, counselling, crisis intervention, and workplace mental health. He specializes in designing and implementing structured mental health programs for students, corporate teams, entrepreneurs, and vulnerable communities. As an active leader within the Tanzania Psychological Association (TAPA), he contributes to advancing professional standards and national mental health advocacy. A dynamic trainer and speaker, he has facilitated high-impact workshops and conferences, strengthening institutional capacity and promoting evidence-based psychological practice across diverse settings.

Michael is a Tanzanian Psychologist serves as Deputy Secretary General of the Tanzanian Psychological Association (TAPA). also Working at PRIMETEL CLINIC Company LTD in MONDULI - ARUSHA. He practices CBT and DBT therapies, with a special focus Depressive Disorders Specifically Depression . Albano is also an author, counsellor, corporate trainer, He holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Dar es Salaam and completed a post-mentorship program under the International Learning Partner Program (ILPP), collaborating with global experts including Dr. Eva Feindler of Long Island University (LIU) which targeted CBT and DBT therapies, with a special focus Depressive Disorders Renowned for his public engagement, Albano advocates for mental health, personal growth, relationships, and spiritual development across Tanzania.
